Hello blog readers. My name is Alex Chaffee, a sometimes cynical 'observationist'.
My heart belongs to the Pacific Northwest. I could not be a more proud Husky (Go Dawgs!), Mariners / Sounders / Seahawks fan. And yes, I know, I know, Seattle sports aren't really known for their plethora of National Championships but I was in the Kingdome when you could have a full conversation with your friend who was on the 300 level while you were on the 100 level.
I went to the University of Washington and graduated with a double degree in History and Communications. So, if you ever want to talk about old things, I'm pretty much your go-to person. I was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority where I was able to unleash my true El Woods. My pledge class is basically amazing. During my glorious college years, I worked for Fox Sports Northwest and the Seattle Mariners. Originally I thought I wanted to be a sports reporter, but once I heard Erin Andrews was going to appear on Dancing with the Stars, I decided to opt out of the female reporting world...

I can't complain that my first job out of college was a pretty sweet deal. I worked for the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders FC in their marketing and hospitality departments. It was an amazing experience that I am so, so, so lucky to have had!
But that lands me to where I am today. I will always love the sports world, but it was time for a career change. Call it a quarter life crisis, but time to grow up and find the job that I was meant for. And here I am, still looking...
So there you have it, Alex Chaffee, a chick from Edmonds that loves sports, and especially loves watching train wrecks like the Real Housewives.
